More Golf Dating

I had such a fun weekend. Infact it had nothing to do with golf other than picking mushrooms in bournmouth on the local golf course with a lovely person I met at salsa dancing.

We found many many varieties of mushrooms, death caps, false death caps, and what would be deemed as magic mushrooms... anyhow it was good fun other than ducking out of golfers slices and hooks.

Found 25 balls... quite a good day as far as golf ball finding was concerned!

Recently I was asked why I wanted to start a golf dating web site. Now I had to consider this carefully you see because being an entrepreneur there are loads of things that I want to do but sadly there are only so many hours in a day.

I personally dont think running a Golf Dating website is the most profitable thing to do however from a community stand point it certainly has a lot of value. I have made a lot of friends and business contacts through my golf dating website, value businesses like selling tupperware online probably would not achieve...

Also - I get to moderate some of the gorgeous young ladies that join and this certainly puts a smile on my face every morning!

This is so cool! As a social golfer and an avid ball finder... sometimes I wonder if I prefer the game or simply finding other peoples lost golf balls! Anhow, here is a little product that will help you find your balls when they are lost in the bush (no pun intended!).

In a few words, its a set of glasses that allows the wearer to see balls hidden in grass and bush by cutting out certain light wavelengths and letting others through. Dont ask me how it works, click on the link above and find out for yourself!

Now I am tempted to ask these guys if they would be interested in creating a set of glasses that can help find stray drinks on the 19th hole!

Golf Dating - when to pull out the old wood

It is every Golfers Dream to have a young lady by his side and on the Golf Course. Its every Golfers dream to have a young lady by his side, on the Golf Course and perhaps (not wanting to sounds rude at all) carrying his golf clubs...

Aha?

It is however not every golfers dream to be on the golf course and being beaten at the driving, the chipping and of course the putting. And to rub salt into the wounds... getting a few extra lead points on the handicap.

Women have the advantage over us men (in the amateaur sense) that they know how to keep a cool head. When have you ever seen a mother lose her rag when surrounded by a hord of hungry kids bleating for a hundred and one different things... So put them on the golf course and voila! Your butt has been kicked, even before the game has started!

Now after just such a game with just such a delightful young very very very nice golfing young lady... I happened to put my foot in it while mourning my loss on the 19th hole. In my distress I suggested we go back to my place where I could pull out the old wood and she could show me a few strokes...

I dont know what it is with me, as soon as I have a drink or two I get all my words muddled up and end up in a awkward and somewhat compromising position...

I spent a year not playing golf - every other weekend I would attempt to call a few mates and try and con them onto the course. In the UK the most common excuse is "the weather" and our longitude ensures that there are only a few playing hours in the bitter winter and no one to share this with!

I am currently living in London and the idea of meeting other Golfers is quite a tricky thing to do especially if you are not from this little island and dont have the school connctions.

Golf Dating with iGolf.to

Golf dating for me has seen a wonderful change in my life. Firstly I am playing a lot more golf. Secondly I am making a lot more golf friends and thirdly I am losing weight and getting a lot more excercise! (You should have seen my tummy 6 months ago!).

The funny thing is - a fascination I had as a child learning golf was finding golf balls. i used to drive my parents insane as I would hit the ball - then shoot into the bush to find some balls then shoot out again to hit the ball... and so it would continue.

Try doing that when out on a date...

Anyhow - my record so far is 27 and a half balls (dont ask how I found half a ball).
